At Monday night’s Carroll City Council meeting, two groups were recognized and proclamations were made for National Fire Prevention Week and the 75th Anniversary of the Carroll Chamber of Commerce. Mayor Eric Jensen read the Fire Prevention Week proclamation that reminds all Carroll citizens to take time out to make a fire escape plan and to test their smoke detectors. This year’s theme is “Every Second Counts; Plan Two Ways Out!” Carroll Fire Chief, Greg Schreck, says he and his team work to support families in helping everyone understand the importance of developing these plans.
He also introduced some members of the Carroll Fire Department to the council.
Following those introductions, Mayor Jensen then recognized the Chamber of Commerce on their milestone.
