In addition to the arrest of a Varina man who was involved in a single-vehicle motorcycle accident in Carroll on Saturday, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office reports they made two additional arrests over the past weekend of drivers who were operating vehicles under the influence. At approximately 11:19 p.m. on Friday, July 21, a deputy performed a traffic stop on a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by 30-year-old Nathan Lee Meister of Audubon. Meister was arrested for operating while intoxicated, first offense. And at approximately 5:27 p.m. on Saturday, July 22, a 2014 Dodge Ram pickup was pulled over and the driver, 65-year-old John Lester Debolt of Carroll, was arrested for operating while intoxicated, second offense, and driving while revoked. Both Meister and Debolt were booked into the Carroll County jail.
