Carroll County Communities Had Several Contested Races In Tuesday’s Election

Several Carroll County communities were lucky to have contested races in Tuesday night’s city elections. Breda was tasked with electing three officials for their city council and had four candidates on the ballot. Winners of those seats were Christopher H. Uhlenkamp who received 94 votes, Robert Boeckman with 86 and Samantha Pietig with 70. Glidden recorded a close race with three candidates vying for two open positions. Bob Linde was elected to serve with 85 votes and Morgan L. Bock Green with 82. Lidderdale also had three open seats with four candidates, and those went to Anthony Ryan Monthei with 40 votes, Stan Hoffman, who received 31, and Terrance Daniel with 26. Manning’s council saw the defeat of one incumbent and the re-election of another. Dick Johnson has lost his seat to one of the two newcomers, Jeremy Carroll who received 76 votes and Joe Maas who had 74 total votes. Incumbent Lonny Rowedder was re-elected to a four-year term with 62 votes. And in Templeton, three candidates were on the ballot for the two at-large positions on the city council. The winners in that race were Mark A. Bauer with 53 votes and Kelli Morrow with 49.
