Nine lessons, learning modules, kits and curriculum will be scaled-up in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade schools, libraries, daycares and other learning centers in the upcoming academic year. The Iowa Governor’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Executive Committee has voted unanimously to approve the 2017-18 STEM Scale-Up Program menu based on evidence of each program’s effect on students interest and ability in STEM. These offerings also have made an impact across race, ethnicity and gender diversity, have a high level of scalability across the state, provide something across all grade levels and subject areas and are cost-effective. All pre-kindergarten through 12th grade educators in school or out are invited to apply for the STEM learning programs by following the link included below. Applications must be submitted by Friday, March 3, and awardees will be announced at the beginning of April.
