The Jefferson Police Department investigated a two-vehicle accident that occurred at approximately 8:24 p.m. Monday night at the intersection of Monroe and South Wilson Ave. A 2006 Cadillac STS, owned by Mark Naberhaus and being operated by Samuel Naberhaus of Scranton, was traveling westbound on East Monroe. Naberhaus failed to yield to an oncoming vehicle from the north, a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox, owned and operated by Megan Ball of Jefferson. The vehicles collided in the intersection, causing an estimated $3,000 in damage to the Naberhaus vehicle and $20,000 to the Ball vehicle. Naberhaus was cited for failure to yield to a vehicle on the right.
