The Calhoun County Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC) has now entered into the second phase of their Laborshed employment study in partnership with Iowa Workforce Development. They are currently conducting confidential household surveys, and want to encourage all Calhoun County residents to answer calls that show a caller ID originating from Cedar Rapids with an area code of 319. If the call is missed, a toll-free call-back number will be provided in the message. Residents can also volunteer to participate by calling 888-364-1891. The input is critical to driving economic and workforce development efforts in Calhoun County and the neighboring areas and surveys will include questions about employment status, current and desired wages and benefits, education level and type of occupation. Iowa Workforce Development will NOT ask survey takers any identifiable information such as their name, social security number or date of birth. The calls will continue until the necessary response numbers are reached.
