The Carroll Police Department received several reports of an erratic driver on Highway 30, westbound from Grant Road earlier this morning. The calls started coming in at approximately 8:33 a.m. that the driver was speeding and running stoplights. The vehicle, a 1993 blue Ford F150, was located shortly after by officers, but when they attempted to stop the vehicle, the subject fled. Forty-three-year-old Matthew Kramer of Breda, refused to obey the officers’ commands, but was apprehended on 7th Street near the south entrance to Graham Park after a short pursuit. Kramer was arrested and charged with eluding, operating while intoxicated, reckless driving, driving on the wrong side of the highway, failure to wear a seatbelt and failure to yield when entering a highway. He was treated at the scene by Carroll County Emergency Medical Services and then released to officers for transport to the Carroll County jail.
