Lake View has a new utilities superintendent after the City Council voted last week to elevate a long-time employee to the position. Bill Leners was approved unanimously by the council on Monday with the promotion going into effect immediately after being accepted. Before becoming the utilities superintendent, Leners served as the Electric Superintendent in the Public Works Department. His career in city government has spanned more than three decades with nearly 30 years at Lake View. Leners worked with the City of Bancroft in north-central Iowa previous to his time at Lake View.
