Iowa’s 87th General Assembly kicked off Monday of this week and District 12 House Representative, Brian Best of Glidden, joined 99 other state representatives for the swearing-in ceremony. In addition to Gov. Terry Branstad’s Condition of the State Address on Tuesday, house members will hear the Condition of the Judiciary address by the Iowa Supreme Court Chief Justice, Mark Cady, while entering into a full slate of committee work to move bills to the floor for debate.
