Senator Bernie Sanders is returning to Iowa this weekend, this time as the keynote speaker at the annual Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement Action Fund (CCI Action) convention. The convention is themed “Revolution Iowa: From Protest to Power” and will convene at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines. Throughout the day, there will be issue-focused organizing workshops, celebrations of CCI Action victories from the past year and other speakers, including the co-founder of Black Lives Matter, Alicia Garza.
