Audubon Man Charged With Manufacturing Marijuana Near A School

The Audubon County Sheriff’s Office has arrested an Audubon resident after a search warrant revealed the manufacturing of marijuana. The warrant was executed in the 500 block of Leroy Street today (Thursday) and 30-year-old Dustin Douglas Williams was arrested and charged with manufacturing marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school. The proximity to the school elevates the offense to a felony. He has also been charged with two counts of child endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor. The investigation is ongoing, and Williams is currently being held in the Audubon County jail on a $30,000 bond. K-9 Axel and the Audubon Police Department assisted with the search.
