Audubon High School Celebrates Bank Iowa Challenge Cup Win With Assembly Sept. 19

Audubon High School has scheduled an assembly for the presentation of the Bank Iowa Traveling Challenge Cup for next week. The award ceremony will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 19 at 8:40 a.m. at the Audubon High School Gym. This is the school’s second win in class 1A, the previous being in the 2013-14 school year. Schools are divided into four classes and points are tallied from successes in Iowa High School
Athletic Association (IHSAA), Iowa High School Music Association, Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union and Iowa High School Speech Association events. Audubon scored 670 points during the 2016-17 school year beating the second-place school, Bishop Garrigan, by 20 and the third-place school, St. Albert, by 35. Representatives from Bank Iowa will be in attendance to award the Crystal Cup and a $2,000 stipend for the school. The assembly is expected to last between 15 and 30 minutes and is open for the public to attend.
