The Audubon FFA is heading into the new school year full steam ahead after being recognized for both chapter and member accomplishments. The organization was recently named a Gold-Rated Iowa FFA Supreme Chapter and advanced to the national level. There, they received a two out of three star rating for their efforts during the 2016-17 school year. The chapter’s officers recently returned from a three-day retreat where the road map for the 2017-18 was planned. One-hundred percent of the chapter’s members gained proficiencies last year as part of the school’s agricultural program and FFA. Those skills range from diversified agricultural production to community development. One chapter member, Emily Campbell used those skills to become a state winner in the Agricultural Sales competition at the Iowa FFA Convention. Audubon’s chapter is led by their chapter advisor, Brittany Elmquist.
