An Audubon FFFA chapter member was named as one of four winners of the GROWMARK 2018 Essay Contest. Anna Campbell will be awarded $500 from GROWMARK, at the Iowa FFA State Convention in April. Her chapter, led by Brittany Elmquist, will also receive a $300 award in recognition of Campbell’s work. The contest required all applicants to answer the same question. This year’s theme was “How can cooperatives demonstrate their value to the next generation of agriculturists?” The program was started 25 years ago to encourage young people to think critically about agrarian issues, develop writing skills and learn what role cooperatives play in agriculture. Four runner-ups from were also selected to receive a $125 award from GROWMARK. Those recipients can be found included below this story.
