UPDATE–WORK DELAYED–Audubon County Hospital Phone Service Will Be Disrupted For Repairs This Afternoon

The City of Audubon has announced they will not be performing a cut to the Audubon County Memorial Hospital phone line today (Tuesday). They do plan to perform the maintenance at a later date, but have not yet released when.

Original story below:

The City of Audubon has approved the cutting of the T1 copper line that services the Audubon County Memorial Hospital at 3 p.m. today (Tuesday) to complete a portion of the water and sewer project. The copper line serves as the only phone line to the hospital, and they will be operating under their “disaster protocol” while the line is disconnected and until the splicing of the copper has been completed. This time was chosen to limit the disruption to the critical functions of the facility. If you have an urgent need to contact the hospital during this time, please call the Audubon County Sheriff’s Dispatch at 712-563-2631 and they will relay the message. The hospital will send out notification when the telephone service is operational again.
