Atlantic Woman Charged In Connection To Drugs Discovered During A No Contact Order Violation Investigation

An Atlantic woman has turned herself into the Audubon County Sheriff’s Office on outstanding arrest warrants in connection to a no contact order violation. Nineteen-year-old Chelsea Leeann Adams has been charged with 12 counts of aiding and abetting the violation of a no contact order and possession of marijuana. The charges stem from an investigation of a separate no contact order violation by an Audubon County jail inmate, 28-year-old Joseph Dean White. A search warrant executed at his home in Exira discovered marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The home was within 1,000 feet of a school, which elevates the charges to a felony. Adams is currently being held in the Audubon County jail on a $2,300 bond.
