The Iowa State Patrol and Des Moines Police Department announced in a press release Wednesday they have arrested the person responsible for a stabbing that occurred at the Iowa State Fair Tuesday night. The individual arrested, 17-year-old Yuri Green, has been charged with two counts of willful injury. Green remains in police custody. Two other juveniles were involved in the altercation. They have received notices and have been barred from returning to the Iowa State Fair. The victim, 21-year-old Tay Ronce Denton, was stabbed near the southwest corner of the fairground around 10:25 p.m. He was transported to Mercy Hospital where he is listed in critical, but stable condition.
