Area Counties’ Board of Supervisors Select Chairs For The 2017 Session

Several counties’ Boards of Supervisors selected their chairperson at their first meeting of the year. For Audubon County, Todd Nelsen was selected to serve as chair with Gary VanAernam chosen as vice-chair. Scott Jacobs was appointed chairman of the Calhoun County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, and the vice-chair position will be held by Mike Cooper. Crawford County also selected their chair and vice-chair this week. Steve Ulmer was designated as chairperson for the supervisors and Eric Skoog as vice-chair. Greene County supervisors nominated and approved John Muir as chair and Dawn Rudolph as vice-chair. In Guthrie County, Clifford Carney will fill the role of chairperson. Sac County’s chairperson for 2017 will be Ranell Drake. Neither Guthrie nor Sac Counties have vice-chairs. Gene Meiners and Marty Danzer were elected chair and vice-chair, respectively, in Carroll County. The chair and vice-chair positions are chosen at the start of each year, and terms last for one year.
