The onset of warmer weather means that area construction will gear up for the season, and the Carroll building department has seen the submission of plans for a couple of notable projects getting underway this spring. Commercial Savings Bank has submitted their plans for their new $4.6 million building along Highway 30 near the West Street intersection. St. Anthony Regional Hospital (SAHR) has also submitted building plans for their 36-unit assisted living facility, Garden View, that the St. Anthony leadership has estimated will come in at a cost of around $10 million. On the residential front so far this spring, there have been requests for eight new home permits with three valued at over $800,000 each.
