Another Motorist Charged With Possession After Routine Traffic Stop In Jefferson

Another driver traveling through Jefferson was arrested for possession of marijuana after a routine traffic stop on Sunday night. At approximately 11:12 p.m., an officer pulled over 21-year-old Logan Wayne Grazier of Cedar Falls for speeding. The officer smelled marijuana emanating from the vehicle and questioned Grazier. He said he was not in possession of narcotics and consented to a vehicle search. During the search, Grazier attempted to throw a smoking device under the car and the officer located a substance believed to be marijuana. Grazier was charged with possession of a controlled substance—marijuana, a serious misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. After failing a field sobriety test, a urine specimen was provided for further testing. Future charges of operating while intoxicated are pending lab results.
