The Whiterock Conservancy near Coon Rapids has recently opened a campground that is capable of handling RVs and tent-style campers. The grounds now have 13 campsites, and director of development and communications Barbara Jotzkie-Torrier says the grounds have the amenities campers love.
This new campground has been in the works for some time and Jotzkie-Torrier is excited to have the addition to Whiterock Conservancy. She mentions that the project is more than just the addition of new camping grounds and funding needed to be found before they could get underway.
The new campgrounds are located near the extensive trails, and she says that all fees for trail use are kept to maintain the paths.
The Whiterock Conservancy and the new campgrounds are currently open for recreational campers to visit, and reservation can be made by visiting whiterockconservancy.org.
