Where are your interests? Carroll County Conservation posts online survey

Every five years the Carroll County Conservation Board lays out a strategic plan to help set goals for county park improvements and initiatives, conservation area objectives, and program planning. Recently the Board partnered with Region XII Council of Governments in order to gather public input to gauge what patrons are most interested in.

That’s Chris Whitaker with Region XII who says the Conservation Board is involved with a surprising variety of county ventures which include camping locations, outdoor activities, educational programs, and various recreation areas.

Whitaker stresses the online public survey is not just restricted to Carroll County residents, but is open to anyone who takes advantage of its offerings. The survey is comprised of fourteen questions, which are mostly multiple choice, and it should take about 10 minutes to complete. He adds that the gathered information aids the Board in its planning process by helping to set priority objectives; plus it provides a record which can be used to track their progress.

The survey is now available and can be found here. The survey will be open until the end of March with results to be delivered to the Carroll County Conservation Board once they’re compiled.
