Welcome Military Families To The Community With Operation Homefront

A national nonprofit, Operation Homefront, has launched its “1Military 1Family” initiative to encourage Americans throughout July to welcome military families into the community by collecting school supplies. The school supplies will be redistributed to military children through Homefront’s Back-to-School Brigade. Military families deal with multiple deployments, frequent relocations and tight family budgets. You can help Operation Homefront welcome America’s servicemen and women into the community by helping in several ways. You can work with the organization to hold a backpack and school supplies drive at your workplace. Also, you can directly donate to Operation Homefront, or you can sign up to volunteer with the program throughout the year. Operation Homefront was created to assist tens of thousands of military families shortly after 9/11. The organization has been recognized for superior performance by leading charity oversight groups and nearly 92% of Operation Homefront’s expenditures go directly to programs that support our military families.
