A 250-foot, half-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall will be coming to Living History Farms in Urbandale on Thursday, Sept. 29, in a Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans event. There is free admission to everyone to see the wall and a mobile education center along with programs every day through Sunday, Oct. 2. At 10 a.m. on the 29th, Gov. Branstad and Larry Spencer, who was a Vietnam POW for 2,551 days, will conduct the opening ceremonies. Various speakers will be on hand throughout the event and there will also be Military Tribute and Patriotic concerts.
