On Monday, July 25, at approximately 7 p.m. a trailer became detached from the pickup towing it and rolled into a residence in Halbur. 26-year-old Kurt Thomas Eisheid of Halbur was travelling west on 4th street when the wire pin on the hitch came loose causing the small trailer he was towing to detach from his 2016 Chevy Silverado K1500. After becoming separated from the truck, the trailer left the roadway and connected with the Schlesner residence on the north side of the roadway. An estimated $3,000 dollars in damage occurred to the exterior siding, interior drywall and wood. Nobody was injured in the incident and no citations have been issued at this time. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident.
