Sustainable Agriculture hot-topic at ISU’s REAL Symposium

Agriculture sustainability is a hot-topic of discussion at an upcoming Real Engagement in Agricultural Livelihoods, or REAL, Sustainability Symposium scheduled at Iowa State University Wednesday through Thursday, April 13 and 14. Three offered sessions will explore topics including Developing Research Platforms for Sustainable Food Systems, Educating the Workforce for a Dynamic Industry, and Building Capacity through Public-Private Partnerships. Co-Director of the Global Food Security Consortium Max Rothschild says a three-pronged approach will be undertaken by featured speakers which hinge on research, education, and capacity building in order to engage future stakeholders in the process of sustainably feeding the world. More information, a full list of speakers, and registration information can be found here. The symposium will be held in the Scheman Building at the Iowa State Center in Ames.
