The Storm Lake Police Department has reported the arrest of six men in a prostitution sting on internet sex trafficking. “Operation Fall Fling” began with officers tracking online communications for weeks prior to Saturday night’s arrests. Members of the Storm Lake Police Department posed as prostitutes online and made arrangements to meet the six men at motels in Storm Lake. The six men ranged in age from 23 to 59 years old and were not only from the Storm Lake area but also from other parts of Iowa and out of state. In addition to the six arrests for soliciting prostitution, an aggravated misdemeanor, the department seized over $2,500 in cash. Those arrested include: 23-year-old Demarius Daniels of Storm Lake; 34-year-old William Foster of Fairmont, Texas; 35-year-old Lay Htoo of Storm Lake; 38-year-old Dennis Ball of Spencer; 49-year-old Kevin Flochert of Sioux City; and 59-year-old Mark Halverson of Linn Grove.
