Stewart Memorial Community Hospital (SMCH) of Lake City is heralding fall with two community-centered events. Certified Nurse Practitioner, Stephanie Bellcock will host the Nov. 3 Lunch Connection discussing “Aging Gracefully.” She will touch on several topics, including vaccinations, screenings, skin care, vitamins, nutrition and hormone therapy. The noon Lunch Connection will be held in the lower level conference room at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital. Cost is $5, and reservations are required by Thursday, Oct. 27. They can be made by calling 712-464-4214. In appreciation of their patronage’s support throughout the year, Stewart Memorial will partner with Calhoun County Public Health for a Fall Open House on Thursday, Oct. 27, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the hospital. During this free event, children are encouraged to come in their Halloween costumes to join in the many activities planned for families. There will be a photo booth, carriage rides, a pumpkin ring toss and much more. Family-centered vendors will also be on hand. Visiting each vendor will get attendees entered into a prize drawing. Food, a flu shot clinic and blood pressure checks will also be a part of the open house.
