State Of Iowa Partners With Google For Business Enhancements

Iowa Secretary of State, Paul Pate, has announced a new partnership with Google to assist small businesses in getting off the ground and growing their online presence. New businesses in Iowa will be able to take advantage of Google’s Let’s Put Our Cities on the Map program after filing with the Secretary of State’s office. Existing businesses will also be able to utilize the resources to enhance their digital footprint. The partnership was launched Thursday at the Iowa State Fair, and Pate said the goal was to “work at the speed of business, not the speed of government.” He added that 2015 brought a record number of new business filings, surpassing the 20,000 mark and this partnership will help those business owners reach more customers. He consider it a great asset to the state and the economy. The program includes assisting businesses with getting found on Google Search and Google Maps, providing secure domain names, assistance with website building—including free web hosting for one year—and more. More information about the program can be found by following the link included below.
