The City of Lake View has added more security to their brush pile site, south of town on County Road M68. According to city administration, there have been numerous instances of illegal dumping at the site. In response, they have installed real-time video recording devices that can be monitored or played back at a later time. Residents are also reminded that the city will not allow burning of leaves and yard waste. These items must be taken to the dump site, which will be open from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturdays this fall. If access is requested at other times, a key can be checked out from Lake View City Hall during the course of normal business hours.
