Stewart Memorial Community Hospital and McCrary Rost Clinics announce they have signed provider agreements with all three participating insurance companies providing health care coverage for Medicaid patients who are members of the Iowa Health Link. Cindy Carstens, chief operating officer at SMCH, said, “All of our medical providers are enrolled in all three of the MCOs and will continue to provide quality healthcare to our patients who receive Medicaid benefits.” To streamline the registration process, they ask Medicaid members to bring their insurance cards, which contain information the clinics and hospital will need to begin the payment process. On April 1, 2016, the Iowa Department of Human Services transitioned most all of Iowa Medicaid members to Iowa Health Link, which is managed by the three, private managed care organizations.
