Stewart Memorial Community Hospital (SMCH) in Lake City is organizing their next Lunch Connection for Thursday, June 2, at noon. Guest speakers, Adam Nockels, owner of Raccoon Ridge Farm, and Casey Wetter, the SMCH dietitian, will host the “Simple Gardening, Simple Meals” presentation. Nockels will discuss a program relating to backyard vegetable gardening while Wetter will demonstrate ways to take the backyard fare to the table in tasty dishes. The cost of the program is $5 per person and includes a lunch of Marth Stewart’s Cobb salad, a roll and strawberry rhubarb crumble. The Lunch Connection is held in the lower level conference room at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital. Reservations are due by Thursday, May 26, to Jennifer Snyder at 712-464-4214.
