This will be the 15th year the Diocese of Sioux City has sponsored a clinic that will bring Special Olympics athletes together with the top Division II women’s basketball players in the country. On Tuesday, March 8, the NAIA Special Olympics Clinic will be held at the Tyson Event Center/Gateway Arena in Sioux City and the first session will kick off at 9 a.m. with the Most Reverend R. Walker Nickless, bishop of Sioux City, leading the group in prayer. Nickless says this clinic is a blessing in many ways and the Diocese is proud to support such a joyful experience for everyone involved. The annual clinic is held in conjunction with the NAIA Women’s Division II College Basketball Championship held each March in Sioux City.
