Over a thousand law enforcement officers, friends, family members and supporters came together Monday morning in West Des Moines to mourn the loss of Sgt. Anthony Beminio, one of two Des Moines area police officers killed in ambush-style attacks early last Wednesday morning. The same outpouring of support is expected today (Tuesday) at the funeral of Urbandale officer, Justin Martin, whose funeral will take place at 11:40 a.m. this morning at the South Central Calhoun Middle School in his hometown of Rockwell City. The time of that service is in honor of Martin’s badge number. Members of the public who are wishing to attend Martin’s funeral are asked to approach the middle school from the east and park in the east parking lot. Overflow parking will be in the residential area east of the school. Those wishing to attend the graveside ceremony are asked to travel to Rosehill Cemetery immediately following the service. Public parking at the cemetery will be across the street. The funeral procession following the service is for family and law enforcement only.
