Results from 10th Annual Hoop-It-Up Tournament

Over seventy teams competed in the 2016 Hoop-It-Up Tournament held in Carroll at the end of February. Carroll Chamber Executive Director Shannon Landauer says the 10th Annual tournament was a great success and it’s all thanks to the many volunteers who helped to keep things running smoothly.

Tournament teams were divided into eight different categories with the Remsen St. Mary’s Hawks taking top honors for the 3rd Grade Boys, the Carroll Red Knights were the overall winners for the 4th Grade Boys, and the Remsen Hawks also won in the boy’s 5th Grade division. For the 6th grade boys the Sergeant Bluff Warriors walked away as champions, while for the 7th grade boys the Creston Panthers took home the trophy. In 8th grade the boys of the Norwalk Warriors came out on top and in 9th grade the boys on the Valley Tigers Black team claimed bragging rights. In mixed teams for 8th grade the DCG Fillies were crowned champs. For a full breakdown of the results from the 10th Annual Hoop-It-Up Tournament click here.
