The 8th Annual Relay Iowa is still six months away, but runners interested in signing up have an incentive to register for the event in advance. By forming and registering a team with one captain and three runners by Dec. 31, Relay Iowa will award a running bag to the captain of the team and offer a discounted registration price of $90 for each member. The price increases to $105 after that date. Relay Iowa proceeds go to Restoring Hope International, which helps provide homes for orphaned children in South Africa. Runners also support numerous charities based in the communities they pass through in the 339-mile, three-day trip from Sioux City to Dubuque. Relay Iowa begins June 9.
