The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office responded to an accident in Glidden that left two drivers with only minor injuries. On Friday, Aug. 19, at approximately 5:19 p.m., 30 year-old Matthew Neil Jaschen of Johnston was stationary on Highway 30 preparing to make a north turn onto Timber Avenue in his 2016 Chevrolet Silverado when 23 year-old Matthias Vernon Stork of Breda in a 1995 Chevrolet S10, travelling eastbound, failed to stop for the turning Jaschen truck. The Stork vehicle rear-ended the Jaschen pickup resulting in $15,000 damage to the Jaschen vehicle and $2,500 to the Stork vehicle. Both drivers reported possible injuries but left the scene in private vehicles afterwards.
