Two Greene County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 30 and W Ave. east of Grand Junction at approximately 9:53 a.m. yesterday (Tuesday) morning. A 2013 Chevrolet Express G3500 van, driven by 66-year-old Douglas Lynn Holmes of Latimer, was westbound on Highway 30. He was struck by a northbound 1999 Buick LeSabre, driven by 50-year-old Janice Lee Crawley of Dawson, who failed to stop at the stop sign. Neither driver reported any injuries and there was minimal damage to the Holmes van. The Dawson vehicle was deemed a total loss. Dawson was cited for Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign.
