No Major Injuries Reported After Three-Car Accident In Carroll

At approximately 10:05 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 6, the Carroll Police Department responded to a report of a three-vehicle accident at the intersection of Grant Road and Highway 30. Two vehicles were stopped westbound on Highway 30 at the light. The first was a 2005 Buick Lacrosse driven by 54-year-old Brent Lane Benton of Glidden, and the second was a 2007 Pontiac Torrent driven by 35-year-old Kamela K. Kinnick of Glidden. The third vehicle, a 2008 Ford Crown Victoria driven by Lyle Laverne Paulsen of Coon Rapids, did not stop in time and struck the rear of the Kinnick car. The momentum forced Kinnick into the rear end of the Benton vehicle. Kinnick complained of possible neck injuries but was not transported for treatment. No other injuries were reported but there was an estimated $100 in damage to the rear end of the Benton car, $800 damage done to the Kinnick vehicle and $1,200 to the Paulsen vehicle. Paulsen was cited for failure to maintain control.
