At approximately 12:32 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 24, the Jefferson Police department responded to the scene of a two vehicle accident about one mile southwest of Jefferson in the 1500 block of Meadow Lane. A 1991 Dodge Dakota, driven by Anthony Cook, was traveling west on Meadow Lane, and Sydney Schlitz, driving a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer, was traveling east on the same road when Cook lost control of his vehicle and collided with the rear, driver’s-side door of the Trailblazer. No injuries were reported, and there was an estimated $700 in damages to the Schlitz vehicle and $200 in damages to the Cook truck. Cook was issued a citation for failure to maintain control.
