At approximately 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office responded to an accident at Mahogany Ave. and 220th Street, near the Swan Lake State Park west entrance. Forty-four-year-old Robin Dawn Cast of Manning reported she has stopped her 2005 Ford F 150 at the stop sign at the intersection of 220th and Mahogany, but only looked north for oncoming traffic. She proceeded through the intersection and struck a 2008 Ford Escape driven by 19-year-old Sarah Kaye Klocke of Carroll. No injuries were reported, but there was an estimated $3,500 in damage to the Klocke vehicle and $3,000 to the Cast truck. Cast was cited for failure to obey a stop sign.
