The 2016 Principal Charity Classic golf tournament is underway at the Wakonda Club in Des Moines and MidAmerican Energy is teaming up with Principal Classic sponsor, Wells Fargo, to enhance the viewing experience for fans in the Green Canyon fan zone. Located near the Park Avenue entrance of the club, the Green Canyon offers fans a vantage point to watch players putt on the par-4 16th hole, play the par-3 17th and tee off on the 18th hole. The space also houses high-definition video boards with 24-hour access to streaming video along with food, drink and merchandise nearby. The Principal Charity Classic, which got underway on Tuesday, May 31, is open to the public and is a popular stop on the PGA tour. This year’s event boasts a strong field of 81 champion players, including newcomers John Daly and Miquel Angel Jimenez and defending champion, Mark Calcavecchia. The tournament will wrap up on Sunday, June 5.
