Manning Regional Healthcare Center (MRHC) Marketing Coordinator, Sarah Foley, has been working hard on a fundraising idea that is taking a step outside the norm. She said they really wanted to do something fun and different for a first-ever, year-end event on New Years’ Eve.
The company, “They Improv” from Florida, has groups throughout the country who specializes in putting on fundraisers like this dinner. They also work hard to incorporate some local involvement. Foley gave a preview of what attendees can expect.
Foley added that there will be different giveaways and other surprises throughout the evening. The fundraiser is going to be used to support the efforts currently going on with the West Central Iowa Healthcare Foundation’s Tree of Light Campaign to support transportation for the hospital, recovery center and Plaza nursing home.
Several items have already been donated for the silent auction, including two Hansel prints, a handmade quilt and some petrified wood pieces, but they are still looking for donations as well as corporate sponsors for the evening. Tickets are on sale now and available at MRHC, First National Bank or they can be purchased by contacting Foley. Tickets are $30 per person or $50 for a couple and they will be offering table sponsorships for $600, which includes eight tickets for dinner and entertainment as well as their name printed on advertising for the event. Foley said this is not only a great way to support the services offered to area residents, the timing is perfect as well.
This, she added, is something fun to do on New Years’ Eve that offers professional entertainment, is close to home and has the added bonus of supporting a good cause.
