Double check your snack food before sinking your teeth into your between meal treats. Bimbo Bakeries USA has issued a voluntary recall of four varieties of their baked goods. The recall results from a manufacturing failure by a contract manufacturer’s bakery based of Illinois. Small pieces of plastic have been found within the food items and pose a choking or cutting hazard from the plastic. The items affected by the recall are five pack Entenmann’s Little Bites Fudge Brownies with an Oct. 8 expiration date, five and ten pack Entenmann’s Little Bites Chocolate Chip Muffins, also expiring Oct. 8 and 20 pack Entenmann’s Little Bites Variety selections with an expiration on Sept. 24. All products being recalled have the code number “3098” near the expiration date. One injury has been reported due to the pieces of plastic in the products.
