Linking Families and Communities of Fort Dodge has received Iowa Family Support Credentials for programs that work to support families in raising young children and building a strong foundation for school and life. The credentialing is valid for five years, and 100 percent of the parent education and support programs sponsored by Linking Families and Communities in Calhoun, Pocahontas and Webster Counties have earned the designation. The Family Foundations program delivers in-home visits to families with young children, helping parents understand their role and equipping them with the skills needed to ensure their child is healthy and successful. The programs are based on the most up-to-date, evidence-based practices in the family support field. Adherence to these standards indicates the program is providing high-quality services that result in positive outcomes.
