Landus Announces West Central Cooperative Excellence In Agriculture Scholarship Winners

As one of their last official acts, the Board of Directors at West Central Cooperative reviewed applications submitted last winter for the West Central Excellence in Agriculture Scholarships. They are pleased to announce that this year, six students have each been awarded $1,500. “These soon-to-be graduates will play a critical role in shaping agriculture in the coming decades,” said West Central’s former Chief Executive Officer and Landus Cooperatives’ new CEO, Milan Kucerak. “As a farmer-owned cooperative, we are privileged to be in a position to consult with producers who are feeding the world as well as supporting the educational pursuits of those who will positively influence the industry for years to come.” The Excellence in Agriculture winners are: Noah Borkowski, son of Dave and Lisa Borkowski of Carroll and a senior at Glidden-Ralston High; Zoey Dinkla, daughter of Dallas and Romonia Dinkla of Casey and a senior at Adair-Casey; Brianna Goecke, daughter of Jim and Kim Goecke of Audubon and a senior at Audubon Community High School; Andrew Irlbeck, son of Glen and Anne Irlbeck of Templeton and a senior at Kuemper Catholic; Shelby Soper, daughter of Clint and Mindy Douglas of Adair and a senior at Adair-Casey; and John Schultes, son of George Schultes and Connie Jessen of Exira and a senior at Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton.
