Lake View Hometown Pride Committee Sets Sights On New Projects

The Lake View Hometown Pride Committee has been performing feasibility studies for a pair of potentially new projects for the community. One year ago, the committee put out surveys to citizens to determine which projects interested the residents. Tami Moeller, president of the Lake View Hometown Pride Committee, says that one project caught people’s attention more than others.

This project is still very early in the process, but Moeller has a good idea for what the event center will be used for if it reaches completion.

She notes that this project might take five years or more to reach completion. The other project that made it to the top of the community interest list is a splash pad to be possibly located near Pier 25 play land. For those of us that don’t know what a splash pad, Moeller was happy to explain.

This project would be a much shorter term goal if approved. Only one to two years Moeller estimates. She did mention an important thing to keep in mind in regard to these plans is there are not set in stone.

The committee hopes to have more concrete ideas to present to the Lake View City Council after their next Hometown Pride meeting.
