Kuemper Announces Retirement Of Activities Director, Tim Fitzpatrick

At the Kuemper Catholic School System’s board meeting on Wednesday night, Activities Director, Tim Fitzpatrick announced his retirement from the position effective at the end of this school year, on June 30, 2017. Fitzpatrick has been a part of Catholic education for nearly 39 years, since graduating from Briar Cliff University in 1978. He began his career as a seventh-grade and physical education teacher at St. Lawrence and as the school’s athletic director. During his tenure, he has served as principal for Holy Trinity Schools in the Halbur, Roselle and Templeton parishes, returning to Kuemper as the activities director in 2003. Fitzpatrick has coached at St. Lawrence, Glidden-Ralston, Holy Trinity and Kuemper, leading the 2005 girls’ basketball team to state. Kuemper Board Chairman, Brad Nichols congratulated Fitzpatrick at Wednesday night’s meeting and said he should be proud of his years of service and the number of lives he has touched in that time. John Steffes, Kuemper President said, “Tim’s record and devotion to Catholic education is most impressive. For nearly four decades, his professional life has been a ministry to serving the youth of our parishes and school system.
