King Notes Irony In Email Scandals Bringing Wasserman Schultz To Clinton Campaign

As Hillary Clinton opens August acknowledging the need for her presidential campaign to focus on earning and building trust with the American people, Congressman Steve King points to the events that transpired at last week’s Democratic National Convention as a guidepost for where this campaign may lead. He says it started on Sunday, July 24, with the resignation of chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

King said  this pointed to the fact that Bernie Sanders was telling the truth when he brought up allegations of collusion in the nomination process.

There is, King added, some irony in the fact that the Clinton campaign was remarkably quick in taking on Wasserman Schultz when both the candidate and her new employer have faced extreme scrutiny revolving around emails.

Wasserman Schultz and King have a professional working relationship, and King says part of him feels badly for her. But when evaluating what she has been charged with doing, his sympathy, he adds, is greatly diminished.
