Jefferson Police Respond To Shooting Threat During Burglary Report

The Jefferson Police Department responded to a residence at 1406 Southfield Drive at 10:02 a.m. yesterday (Monday) after the Greene County Dispatcher received a call reporting a break-in, with the male caller saying they wanted to shoot a firearm through the walls of the residence. Upon arriving at the location, officers were told by two male occupants that they had not mentioned firearms or shooting during the call to the dispatcher. A request by officers for a walk-through of the residence to search for firearms was denied by the legal occupant.
